“All we have is a gift from God. What we do with what we have is our gift to God”

Our ministries require your participation to create a vibrant faith community that not only lives the word of God, but also lives out Jesus’ actions. Thank you for offering to share your time and talent with the community in any of these ministries.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion enjoy the great privilege of helping Jesus Christ dispense Himself sacramentally to his people. Those who assist the presider in the distribution of Holy Communion bring to their service a deep faith in the presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist, a prayerful heart, a reverence for those gathered at Mass and an attitude of love. We have a one-time training session to help you know more about this ministry.

The Liturgy of the Word is an essential component of a Catholic Mass. The Reader can make or break this experience for the people gathered. The Reader proclaims the Word of God during Mass, allowing all to hear and absorb the Holy Scriptures. The reader will bring the reading to life for the people.

Altar servers

Students serve at the altar assisting the priest during the celebration of the liturgy.

Greeters/Ministers of hospitality

Greeters extend a welcome and sense of hospitality by greeting arriving worshipers, distributing worship aids, coordinating the collection and help maintain good order during Holy Communion.

If you are interested in any of those ministries, please contact Annie DiSano (amdisan2@ncsu.edu)
